Over the past 15 months BABTA has actively engaged in some dialog with professors and students who are part of the Hospitality Program at the University of San Francisco. We have hosted programs featuring topics relevant to their focus with a quest to help introduce our members to what the milliniels in our industry are looking from us as leaders - as we look to them for a better understanding of what young business travelers need and expect. Most recently, a dynamic group of students shared a fun and interesting overview of a business trip they took together to New York City. One of the students in the audience was so enthusiastic about her interactions with BABTA members, that she took it upon herself to inquire if BABTA members might possibly have an internship which she could apply for. Amy Cacho of Joi de Vivre ( JDV Hotels) had the internship available: the student applied right away and was awarded with a fall internship at JDV Hotels! Since then we have posted an area of the BABTA website within “Jobs & Internships” for any of our members who wish to share details about an internship offer. There is also detailed information there about how to reach USF personnel if you have questions about how an internship works with your company.
